SXSWedu takes place in Austin March 4th - 7th, 2013. WeAreTeachers invited me to be part of a panel called EduBrawl!, where four practicing educators will share opinions on hot topics in education such as mobile devices, game-based learning, and flipped classrooms. Here's some inside scoop: It's called a "brawl" because it's likely we won't all agree on the topics discussed!
I am excited about the opportunity and think participating in the panel is going to be fun! One of the things I'm looking forward to besides participating in the panel is meeting Wes Fryer, whose work I have followed since I first became an edtech specialist in the early 2000's. I've even nominated Wes for the Edublog Awards Lifetime Achievement Award two years in a row. It's fun to meet in person folks whose work you admire and whom you only "know" through your online interactions.
Below is the flyer WeAreTeachers put together with information on the panel. If you are attending SXSWedu, I hope you'll come see our panel on Tuesday, March 5th, at 9:00 AM!
