In just a few days, on June 2nd to be exact, I will begin my first class toward a masters degree in Educational Technology Leadership. I've thought about working on a masters degree for years, and thanks to a unique program offered by Lamar University, plus the encouragement and enthusiasim of a couple of colleagues who are jumping in on this along side me, I'm finally taking the plunge into a graduate education.
I thought it would be interesting to blog about my graduate degree experiences. Right now I intend for the blogs to be mostly about what I'm learning about ed tech leadership, but there may also be some general "life" blogs thrown in. I may have some thoughts along the way about going back to school for the first time in 16 years or the experience of getting a degree entirely online.
So, that's it. This will be my online record of the MEd experience as well as the things I continue to learn daily in my position as an instructional technology specialist in a K-12 school district. Hopefully I'll have time to record the journey here somewhere in between the full time job and the part time going to school!
